News for members

The December darkness has descended upon us, but KKV Bohuslän does not rest, on the contrary! Preparations for 2016 are in full progress and in this newsletter you can read about a new stone cutting course, in collaboration with Grebbestads folkhögskola, sign up as teacher for the spring courses and you get an invitation to our vision planning. The 14th – 15th of December, we will arrange workshops for asylum seekers and we are currently looking for workshop leaders.
On Saturday Club Umami hosts a party at KKV Bohuslän and we attach an invitation to Portugal from Lisa Sigfridsson and Asbjørn Andresen.

As you have possibly noticed, there was no external newsletter on promised time, and you have received some mails in addition to the internal newsletter. We apologise for this. To start up new systems and routines takes time and we can only promise to better ourselves in the future. We hope for your understanding.

Kind regards,
The board and office, KKV Bohuslän

Cleaning and visions 12th of Dec

Saturday 12th of December we invite all members to a clean- and vision day. We start by cleaning our common areas and the workshops, eat lunch together and in the afternoon, we discuss the development we would like to see at KKV Bohuslän in the future.

The visionary part of the day will be led by the board, according to a process where we together produce ideas and prioritise among them.

The cleaning will start at 10 am, the visionary meeting at 3 pm and we will be done by 5 pm. RSVP to carl@kkv-b.se so that we can prepare lunch.

Workshop for asylum seekers 14th – 15th of Dec

The 14th and 15th of December, we will collaborate with Gerlesborgsskolan and arrange workshops for refugees. We are looking for workshop leaders for two workshops, half days, during these dates. The days will be split between Gerlesborg and KKV and the refugees will work in groups of 10 and try artistic techniques. Lunch will be served at both places. After lunch the participants will switch places and try a new technique. Normal fee for full day teaching, 2400 SEK, is paid to workshop leaders. There is also a small budget for material.

Because the planned workshops are very close in time, we would like to hear from you as soon as possible. Mail carl@kkv-b.se or call the office of KKV Bohuslän: 0523 – 518 95.

The project is financed by Västra Götalands committee of culture.

  • Place
  • Link to a website with more information

If you don’t have a link, you can upload an image at your own profile page and link to that. We are glad to help you if you think it’s complicated.

News in short (in Swedish)

 Invitation to Rottneros Park

Rottneros Park in Sunne, Värmland is a unique sculpture- and flower park with about 100 permanent sculptures, framed by an incredibly beautiful environment. Every year we invite interesting artists/sculptors to exhibit in the park for one or several seasons. Some years we have also bought the sculptures after finished exhibition, all according to economy of course.

We have an area/park that is sometimes the scene of temporary installations, central in the park, which means that all our visitors can experience the art. You can of course have your own opinions on other placement in the park.

The number of visitors that can see the art during our season (June – August) varies of course, but the normal is 35-45.000.

If you are interested in exhibiting at the park, please mail: magnus@rottnerospark.se

Or if you have tips about interesting artists.

At www.rottnerospark.se you can read more about the park and our sculptures.

Kind regards,

Magnus Holmvik
