We are looking for guides for new members
Would you like to be a guide for a new member from another country? In connection the awarding of five annual cards to the artists who came to Sweden as refugees, we are looking for five guides among our members that can help them be introduced in the various workshops. Does it sound interesting? Send an email to carl@kkv-b.se and register your interest. Also write what / which workshops you can guide. In connection with the annual cards will be awarded in December the board will try to match the guides with the new members on the basis of what technologies they are working in. To thank you for your assistance, we offer a one-week free working in any of our workshops (value 750 kr)

KKV Bohuslän offers of support from New Cultural five free season tickets to the artists who came to Sweden as refugees. Annual cards have a value of 9,000 SEK and entitles to free labor in all our workshops. We welcome applications during the period 1 to 30 November. Important criteria to search season ticket is:
that the applicant has applied for asylum or recently received a residence permit in Sweden.
that the applicant is a professional artist.
that the applicant is deemed to have the opportunity to work regularly or for an extended period of KKV Bohuslän.
To apply for one of the five annual cards we need the following:
A completed application for membership.
CVs and photos of the previously executed works
A personal letter in which the applicant describes its ability to work or returning for an extended period of time with us.

To the members of the G21, KKV-B, Inköpsföreningen and Cafe Olivia,
Notice of the joint membership meeting of the compounds G21 and KKV-B. Saturday, November 26th, 2016, at. 14:00 to 16:30 at the KKV-B.

Completion of a studios on the property G21 as a replacement of the old barracks condemned
The meeting will be opened by the Chairman of the G21 and the KKV-B.

5. G21 provides a status report on the new building of studios and presents an action plan for 2017 with revised drawings for 25 comments received.
6. Leif Gustafsson, financial consultant, describes our unions joint financing plan for the new building 10 years ahead. The plan assumes that KKV-B accepts a higher future cold rent, but will also provide increased income to the KKV-B. A prerequisite given the consultant, is that the cheapest room in the future hyregästen costs SEK 100. He has based his calculations on our financial results the last 3 years.

Approval of an action and financial plan of newly built studios on the G21 authorized to G21s board to produce new drawings on dispositions of rooms, quotes and more, before a new joint membership meeting in mid-January 2017. Aquatint
Our small graphics department has finally gotten a aquatint cupboard! Aquatint is done by sprinkling a thin layer of asphalt or resin powder on an absolutely pure copper plate At the bottom of the cabinet is a greater amount of asphalt or resin powder. By blowing or brushing to get the powder to fly around and the cabinet is filled with a vague ”dust” that slowly falls towards the cupboard. Just when you shake the powder has closed the door and opens it then briefly to place the plate on a grid just above the cupboard, and close it once again. Introduction large format sprint
We constantly free introductions to members of our large format sprinter. Through the introduction, you get knowledge in basic settings in Photoshop and the printer, paper and ink. We ask Plato and the ancient Greeks. Starting with a geometric shape transformation process (exercise). Nature forms. Examines seed pods, shells, bones, etc. and concludes with the free interpretation. Materials included.
3 to 4 December: The printing on transparent paper and screen printing
Course leader: Kristin Jonsson and Carl Forsberg
Course fee: 2250 SEK
Two-day course where participants learn to digitize a signed patterns for printing on transparent paper and transfer it to fabric by screen printing.

Creative Cloud in the digital department
Now we have installed the Creative Cloud in our digital department. This means that we have access to the best software for image editing, graphic design and film production – and more! We expect to shortly be able to offer courses in Photoshop, InDesign and Premiere Pro.

This year’s Christmas eco market on December 11th!
It is once again time for the area’s Christmas markets! Last year we filled both large stone hall and the small gallery with varying tables, a lot of people and an open cafe and hot locally grown food.

Application days for cultural workers! Work and culture scholarships, guest studios and nomination to the Västra Götaland Region’s Culture Prize in 2017 approaching submission deadline.
Apply for working grants and culture scholarships
Västra Götaland’s Cultural annually awards 15 working grants á SEK 100 000 and 10 cultural scholarships à 30 000 SEK. We also distribute the so-called Skaraborg scholarship. Now is the time to apply! You can apply for the culture scholarship on your own behalf, but you can also nominate someone else. Deadline for labor and culture scholarships is December 15, with the decision by 10 January 2017.

Apply for guest residency
If you are an artist or craftsman, living and working in Western Götaland, you have the opportunity to apply for guest residencies, in Detroit or anywhere. Deadline for applications for guest studios is 15 December.

Take the opportunity to nominate someone to Västra Götaland’s Culture Prize, with a cash prize of 150 000 SEK. Culture Prize will highlight a västragötalänning who have made an outstanding contribution to the culture of the region. 2016 winning author and artist: Jaan Loof. Who do you think will win in 2017?
